Some random stuff I drew for Yi Wen's b-day

Saya, "Chief", live dari Universiti Malaya, ingin mengucapkan selamat hari jadi kepada saudari Yi Wen, yang (rasanya) sedang belajar di UK (United Kingdom; bukan Ulu Klang!!)

Hahahaha; can you re-read that in English? =P

And as you can see, I drew them a few days before. On Hari Raya's break.

Elizabeth VS Genma.

I don't know where I got this idea...

Well, to be perfectly honest: I was browsing the wikipedia entry on Elizabeh (Gintama) and Genma was mentioned there. And thus, you see the drawing now.

Elizabeth and Psyduck stats.

I'll be honest here: I got the idea for an Elizabeth VS Psyduck when I saw a picture from Advanced Anime (it shows Psyduck and Elizabeth standing side by side).

I think Elizabeth appears a little... too tall in this drawing.

Round 1: "Blast off!"

Admittedly, it has been a long time since I actually attempted to draw seriously (minus the random sketches that you can find in some of my notes), and it has been even LONGER since I last draw a comic strip (albeit, terribly done: this was way back in 1999 - 2001).

I bet you have an idea on what the word 'pencemaran amazing' implies (for those who doesn't know Malay, pencemaran = pollution).

The words in Elizabeth's signboard are "The righteous shall inherit the Earth". I suppose you know where those words come from.

Round 2: "Very the evo"

The background in panel 5 was done in a rush. I think it looks quite... weird. I was actually aiming for a suspenseful atmosphere. Alas.

I quite like panel 7, even though it is by no mean perfectly done. And in panel 8, you can spot Doraemon and Pikachu in there ("Apa da" = (I can't think of an perfect translation; the closest one would be "what the"); "Lembik" = "sissy"). Uh, the bird was badly drawn, I know (what, that's a bird??)

Yes, that's the lyric from Coldplay's The Scientist and Kaiser Chief's Everyday I Love You Less and Less.

Round 3: "RPG! RPG!"

I love RPG. Both of them (Role Playing Game, and Rocket Propelled Grenade). And you can find Doraemon and Pikachu in here as well.

Golduck looks weird when he harass Elizabeth (or, to be exact, I can't draw him properly =P)

 

The man in the last panel is supposed to be King Leonidas, off the movie 300 (On cue: "This. Is. SPARTA!) . Note the devil that's hiding underneath the lava.

Anyone studying geology will be quick to criticize that I draw the rock layers all wrong. I know, because I study geology too, don't you know?

Lyrics in the page from Immortal Technique's Bin Laden (politic...), and Kitaro (feat John Anderson and Vangelis)'s Lady of Dream (the 2nd song is supposed to be, um, sensual? I think?)

Generation Terrorist? Not really.

This drawing is made to show just how I'm obsessed with the number 3. Let's see... there's 3 non-human, and there's 3 weapon... Each of them has three hair/whiskers (Elizabeth: eyelashes; Doraemon: whiskers; Psyduck: hair), and they are the 3rd drawing that I made for that one day. Um, and the flag behind them contains 3 colour... and yes, that's 3 in arabic.

Also, my birthday is on the month of March.

On a more serious matter: I don't like how the RPG is held in Elizabeth's hand. It looks as if she doesn't even know how to correctly holds one (which might be the case), and it looks as if the thing... weight like a feather.

The AK-47 seems quite large compared to the two other weapons. I'm satisfied with Psyduck's Dragunov rifle though.

Their poses are based on the Terrorist team in Counterstrike (Condition Zero). Can you guess which one is which?

...and thus ends another contact with Faiz @ dt @ "Chief". If I'm in the mood, I'll spam up LJ with my random doodles (or perhaps, on rare occasion, an actual drawing).

And now I should get back on studying for my test tomorrow. Ahem.
